Full of Grace
Hello Gentle Reader,
Happy happy Miners Being Rescued in Chile day!!! How wonderful that the planet has banded together to celebrate the rescue. There is good news and then there is GREAT news! This is some kind of great news!
We just had Thanksgiving here in Canada (no turkey this year but Thai!). I am incredibly grateful for the people and things in my life. Each and every day I review my gratitude list! No detail is too small to appreciate - from the coffee flavour of the day (pumpkin!) to being thankful for my family and home. I'm already planning goals for 2011 too - you know me, gotta love a goal list!
Appreciating what you have in your world can give you so much joy - even if you don't feel you have very much right now.
I used to feel appreciation for something AFTER I got it and not the other way around. Now I am grateful for my life today and for my life in the future - even for things that haven't happened yet. It's not wishful thinking at all. Rather grateful thinking! Believe me, it works! You're telling the universe that you're ready to receive even more happiness. Like does attract like!
So, for homework (BAZINGA!), I want you to think of 5 things in your life that are you grateful for right now. Can be absolutely anything - your fave song on the radio, a great hair day, finding socks on sale, the shining sun, and a stranger telling you they liked your smile. Easy Peasy!
Tomorrow, I want you to do this again and think of 5 more things that you appreciate. That's 35 items on your attitude of gratitude list in one week. 140 in a month and 1,680 "thank you's" in a year. FABULOUS!!!
Until we meet again, keep smiling!
Linda
