Energize Me!
Howdy Gentle Reader,
Another sunny but cooler day in the big city. No complaints. IDEAL soon-to-be-Fall weather!
I've noticed that as we head into autumn (and say goodbye to summer), there seems to be a lack of energy for most. Me included on some days. I find that when my zip is lacking, I like to revisit AND revise my "Ta-Da!" list. Somehow my inspiration gets jazzed up when I view the projects that I want to complete over the next few weeks, months, and years! That gets me excited about all the change that I am going to bring into my world (this monkey loves change and not just coinage!!)
Plus to add to that energy boost, I am eating more salads and less of the sugar treats. Sugar gives the illusion that you're getting extra pep but in actual fact, you end up with less. Then you need MORE of the sweet stuff to get that same level of activity and the cycle is never-ending. Then before you know it, HELLO WEIGHT WATCHERS (yes, that is EXACTLY how I ended up there in 2008!) Also important to increase your water intake as well. It helps if you're feeling tired as when your body is dehydrated, you'll just want to nap (after you eat that bag of Oreo's).
Also a great time of year to start adding colour to your surroundings. Could be flowers, photographs, or a couple of pillows in autumn shades. Doesn't have to be expensive, just nice and bright.
This is my favourite time of year to photograph nature so I will be oot and aboot (Canada folks!) and hanging out with the trees (and squirrels and chipmunks!) Don't forget about the pumpkins too!
So starting NOW, I am working on my list, getting enthused about my art and my life!
