The Write Stuff!

Hey there Gentle Reader,

Hot summer days but still no complaints.  Snow will be here soon enough (HALLO CANADA!)

You know, goals are more likely to get accomplished when they are written down.  Whether the list is in your journal, on a scrap piece of notepaper, or even on a Post-It note, there is a direct connection between writing and your brain.  Seems your old noggin' registers the information and then the gears start moving, trying to figure out how to complete the tasks.

Trust me, if you're over 35, you may want to write everything down. Used to be that I would walk into a room, realized that I had forgotten something, walk back to the other room, and the thought would return.  NOW, ahem, I don't!! So, I keep a journal for more permanent goals and also have a pad of paper for the temporary ones (ie. buy milk).  Plus we have enough information crammed into our melons - all those passwords, banking information(about a bijillion numbers - or so it seems!), telephone numbers (usually 3 per person!), and endless PIN digits.  WHOA!!

We've chatted before how your brain likes to take a break and putting all your information on paper, helps to free up your creativity! More space to plan and design other projects.

You know I'm a paper fanatic but I admit now that more and more is being saved on my iPhone too.  Best of both worlds!

Plus you may seem reoccurring themes of topics over and over of projects that never seem to be completed. You need to ask yourself why.  Is it due to lack of resources, funding, knowledge, or being just plain anxious?  Then time to take those baby steps to find the answers.

Until Wednesday!

Linda
