Trade Ya!
Hey there Gentle Reader!
How was your weekend? Fab I hope. Here in Canada, we're enjoying a long weekend. Bliss. I go back to work tomorrow. No complaints - has been an amazing vacation.
Now that I have the new art studio (cozy but perfect), I am painting like crazy. So much that I decided to do a trade with other artsy pals. Exchanging small paintings for their creative passion - photography, music, poems, jokes, and other paintings. Can't wait. Most have been sent out! *waits by mailbox*
Sometimes we need to nurture our souls by giving ourselves the right environment. For me, it was a studio to do my painting and photography. It seems to organize my mind space too as I set up the supplies, position the easel by the window, AND having one wall dedicated to art by others - for inspiration!
I've probably painted more in the last week of having this space than I have in 3 months. Remarkable!
Everyone needs to have their own area in their home (or elsewhere) to follow their creative path. Whether it be to write the next great short story, complete that wedding album for a dear friend, or listen to favourite tunes, you must have space to make your soul happy.
Even if it is just the corner of a room, a favourite easy chair, or a small table in your bedroom, it's good to have a place to call your own.
