If It's Tuesday, It Must Be Toronto...
Hey Gentle Reader,
Sunny morning with possible rain showers later on. I sit here in the kitchen of Chartreuse Monkey with kittens running around me. Every few minutes one will jump on my lap to take a break from playing and then race around again. Sweetness! Kittens are my drug of choice - well including coffee, music, and Baskin Robbins.
Still getting into holiday mode. Yeah I know. How long does it take someone to relax? Apparently it takes this monkey a few days!
Of course it gets so easy just to let your routine slip while on vacation. Certainly you want to have fun while taking time off BUT I find it best if I enhance my regular activities. Trust me, I would LOVE not having to exercise for a few weeks but I know that the outcome wouldn't make me happy in the long run. Losing 50 lbs is one thing but KEEPING IT OFF is sooo different. So I mix it up. Most days the exercise bike but also lots of walking and compromising at the pub. Switch salad for the fries but still keep the burger. I love pubs and diners. Always have my entire life! Must be the British grandparents who raised me for a bit. If I didn't run a virtual diner, I'd make it a pub. Hmmm. Note to self. Have both!
Will be heading over to my fave java place later. Just me, my notepad, and my dreams. Oh yes, and a coffee beverage in there too!
Also planning for that iPhone 4 (NOW it might not be out until August - dang. Then again a birthday giftie from me to me perhaps??). I have never been this obsessed over an item before (except for that blue mustang bike with the sparkle banana seat but I was 11!) Sigh.
