Extreme Goals
Hiya Gentle Reader,
Hope all is well in your part of the planet. A computer techncian is visiting tonight to look at my trusty computer and hopefully bring it back to life. Fingers and paws crossed. Figures that my recent photos with Jane Siberry are held in the hard drive. Sigh. However, if you are a FB buddy, you can see the photos there.
As we've chatted about before, I've been on a weight loss journey for over a year now - started in April 2009. Recently I noticed a few lbs have snuck back on (WHAT are the odds??! Um...I'd say EVEN.) so I am back on my WW bandwagon. However, minus the WW meetings for now - I mean seriously, I need to get BACK to that healthy number before I return to the group - yeah I know, that's like shampooing your hair before going to the salon. What can I say? That's just me!
Some goals on your list will have relaxed deadlines (you've written 2010 and nothing more) or maybe an actual deadline (your birthday, Christmas or the New Year). I find that having actual set dates that DON'T move are the best of all. That's how the weight crept back on - instead of my regular Wednesday weigh-in, I became less disciplined with the timing. Sort of a "whenever" day. Not good GR, not good!
So today is the day for EXTREME GOALS to kick in (oooh I tied it into the World Cup - see that?? Well kind of....) Time to revise the goal list with specific days for completion. Even the big tasks can have many dates for each phase that you finish. Always reward yourself when you reach each one! Doesn't have to be costly but just something to pat yourself on your OWN back! You should be YOUR biggest fan (not including ME of course!).
Today, pull out your list or journal and review your top 3 ideas or projects. Write in those set dates in INK (I like green or purple!) and work towards them with the same enthusiasm as you would have in supporting a pal with her or his plans. YOU CAN DO THIS GENTLE READER!
Until Wednesday!
Linda
PS. Don't forget to watch Animal House Calls tonight at 7pm on CP24 - you know the kitties and I will be watching! If you can't catch it on tv, you can see repeats on www.cp24.com - see ya!
