Wanting it ALL!
Hey there Gentle Reader,
Coffee, tea, EVERYTHING? Yeah I'm having one of those days. My trusty computer decided to say goodbye this morning and other than retrieving files from it. well it's time to say adios. As you know I am counting down the days (weeks??) to the iPhone 4 landing in Canada. Unfortunately the monkey only has coinage for one or the other SO looks like the pc is going to win this match. Sigh. I did get 8 great years out of it though and that's good. Looks like I am going to have to do some more paintings to get that iPhone 4 as well.
You know me, I love having the choice of NOT having to decide between A and B. Leo's like A AND B, thankyouverymuch. Ask Madonna, she's our leader (and my birthday twin!).
I've laid low on new technology for quite some time now. Not exactly by my own doing (remember the Blackberry incident in the winter?) but circumstances dictated otherwise.
This week will finding me having the old computer repaired and a new one ordered. Rogers and BELL have both emailed me alerts that they are still waiting for the iPhone 4 to arrive so I may have a bit of time there.
Have you ever written a "I WANT IT ALL" list? If money, resources, and time were no object, and you truly could have everything. Doesn't have to be in any particular order and you'll find some ideas will inspire others to show up. If you do this a few times a year, you may be surprised how your priorities change or the various patterns that emerge. Some things you can work on now (such as eat healthier or have only clothes in your closet that you actually love) and other items might need to be listed per step (decorate bathroom might be select paint colour, buy new handles for cupboards, order new shower curtain, paint walls, etc).
What I love about writing this list is that it is very freeing and makes you giddy! I mean it's like winning the lottery (note to self check Lotto Max tickets from Friday...) If some items on the list make you anxious, you need to look deeper into those (like your desire to find a new job or move). Big ticket stuff can make you unsettled but breaking it down into smaller steps will help. Baby steps GR, baby steps.
Just for today, write down your list of "blue sky thinking stuff" - so what did it tell you?
Until Tuesday!
Linda
PS. I was never so glad to see Monday as I was today. Living in Toronto during G20 was quite the experience.
