The 3 R's
Hiya Gentle Reader,
Friday is here and all is very good. What would you like? Beverages for all!
Now that we can REALLY see summer around the corner, I am completing my Spring cleaning/organizing. In Canada, we can experience more than one season per day and sometimes all four in one week (hello April!).
For me, it is finishing up going through my clothing and using the 3 R's - repair, recycle, and remove. Removing means to actually throw the item out (now THERE'S a code!) and recycle can mean giving it to a pal or to an used clothing store like Goodwill. Repair means anything from dry cleaning, to tailoring (like that leather jacket), or just mending!
Works for other items too. Book and cd collections can be narrowed down. Our tastes change over the years and the "one old item out for every new item in" will keep everything balanced. You can breathe better when everything isn't overstuffed plus you can locate items faster and easier too.
Always a good idea to do housekeeping on your computer hard drive as part of your organizing. Even though most of the newer pcs/laptops have an incredible amount of space to store photos and music, makes it so much easier to only hang on to what you love. Sometimes you need to take 200 photos at that garden festival but certainly don't need to keep those 100's of shots.
We all love our stuff but let's just make room for the absolutely fabulous and say buh-bye to the rest!
Until Monday, have an amazing weekend!
Linda

Linda, hope you have had a great weekend. Although we are well into summer here in the deep south (I have peppers ready to pick!), I've been doing some spring cleaning on my computer. There are so many digital photos that I have been working on getting into a more logical order and deleting lots that have no meaning.
I've also gotten several boxes of household items and clothes ready to take to Goodwill. It does feel good to get some things cleared out.
