Make Your Own Kind of Music...

Hiya,

Rainy earlier but I was sleeping so noooo complaints! Gorgeous sunshine on this amazing Tuesday.  "Animal House Calls" on tv tonight and then GLEE! I heart Tuesdays!

Well the lunch with the new pal was perfect yesterday.  See? Saying YES to new life experiences is fabulous! The final result is that you will want MORE adventures on a regular basis.  Being Happy EVERY.SINGLE. DAY and I don't mean the wee guy from Disney!

My attitude has always been, if something in your life isn't going right AND you really don't have much control over it, then add something that will make you smile.  Could be as simple as a special latte every Monday morning or a couple new iTunes on Fridays.  Could even be a walk in your neighbourhood to check out the gardens or a matinee on Sunday morning.  Something inexpensive and different each week.  For me, I like to have my virtual Diner on Facebook.  Especially when I am craving a whole bunch of foods that got me into Weight Watchers in the first place. Trust me.  WW folk LOVE to discuss food.  You won't find a more appreciate group of lovely people!

Yet, I digress......

So, back to making your own joy!  Only you will know what makes you smile.  There is something very special about treating yourself as well as you treat others.  If that idea makes you uncomfortable then act as if you are going to buy a treat for a friend and then give it to yourself!

You could set up an "Emergency Happy Kit" - fill it with little puzzles, books, candles, glitter pens and notebooks with flowers, and a small bag of Jelly Bellies (the flavour list to inspire you!): http://www.jellybelly.com/fun_stuff/official_50_flavors_flavor_guide.aspx

Then on a blue day, close your eyes and reach into the box.  Surprise!!! Goofy? Yeah. Fun, you bet!

Until Wednesday....

Linda
