A is for Adventure!
Hey there Gentle Reader,
Monday has arrived!!! I actually like Mondays - big surprise there huh? ME! Keen on something!!! Well I'm not so fond of licorice. Yeah, that's about as negative as I get. Though I do like red.
We've chatted about writing out our list of dreams. Goals SHOULD include lots of adventures besides getting pants hemmed or cleaning off the balcony. Maintenance is all well and good BUT shouldn't be the only thing on our "Ta-Da" lists! You need to be adding the BIG and AMAZING stuff on their too. Sure, I know it can be scary stepping out into the spotlight (or sunlight if your name is Edward) BUT the rewards are so worth it.
Would you believe I was originally hesitant about joining Facebook? Got a bit too obsessive with Flickr (all those dang groups!) so didn't want to go down that path again. However, once I started connecting with family and old friends, I started adding new ones. Some were people I had admired for years and others were friends of friends. That was in 2008. Now I can't imagine NOT being part of that community.
Today I'm meeting up with a new friend to have lunch. Two years ago, I wouldn't have had the confidence to do this at all. Sooo much easier having just e-pals and not getting together face to face. Mercy! Since 2010 is my year to say YES to all invites, it has become second nature.
I haven't looked back since.
