Gone Painting!
Hey there Gentle Reader,
It is HOT HOT HOT in the kitchen today. Record breaking temp of 30+C here in Toronto. Went out for a walk earlier - can STILL feel it! Luckily there is a/c and a fan blowing like crazy. We're good!
Took lots of kid-ten photos today (perfect natural light) and also reworked an older painting. By reworked, I mean painted over! Wasn't feeling the first attempt and enjoy the energy of this one much more. Even has chartreuse in it!
Restless night and slept in. Had a pal email me quite early to see if I was ok. We always email each other around 6am to say hello and give updates on our days and of course the cats (she's at work and I'm getting ready). Very sweet. Why yes, CAT LADIES do stick together!
So with this extra coffee-fueled energy, I decided to paint today. Will do the same for the rest of the week. Painting is my way of connecting emotions and energy with colour. The things that rock my world!
I will STILL be organizing on vacation time - you know I love it so!
Also worked on my list of ideas too. Picked up a little notebook at the dollar store (for $1.50...WTH?) and wrote for awhile in my favourite coffee shop yesterday (no, not Starbuck's!) while listening to jazz tunes. Enjoyed a real freshly brewed iced tea too. HEAVEN!
I seem to be getting better at painting in the evenings after a long day in the office but REALLY good at painting on days off. Really good. I've been doing so much art lately that I need to restock the studio. Niiiice.
