Catnap
Howdy Gentle Reader,
GOT SLEEP? Lucky you! You know, every since I decided to add kittens to my world - starting February 1, 2009 (HEY Kitten Momma, hola), I haven't slept much. Used to think it was the endless cups of coffee (like NOW), but no. Probably a mix of aging (yeah I'm going through THAT, well...you know), and having sweet animals in my life who sleep by day and bounce by night. Absolutely no regrets though. Even adopted the second kitten in January knowing that 2009 was already a write-off in the sleep department. Kittens make me happy.
Sometimes we need to take a breather and review our life and our dreams. I'm doing that right now. Pacing myself has never been a strong trait BUT is needed in order to avoid burnout. Since late 2008, I've been on an amazing life and artistic journey. The Universe has been very kind! People, events, art, and books have been showing up on my radar and have been providing answers to much asked questions. Or I cross paths with many whom I would never had the chance to meet if I hadn't stepped out the door. You have to open that door no matter how scary it feels. Believe me, I was pretty scared back then.
What's challenging for me is having time off and not wanting to fill every waking second with something to accomplish. You need to fill some of that time with nothing. Yup nada.
Just breathe, reflect, nap (yum), and recharge.
I can do it and so can you.
Enjoy your weekend and we'll get together again on Monday!
