Gearing UP to Gear DOWN...

Hi there,

So? Whatcha doin'? Hope your Tuesday is going very well! Pretty fab over here thanks!

In typical fashion for me in the days before going on a vacation, I'm gearing up to gear down. You know, trying to get everything completed in the office so I can have fun on my time off.  That and OF COURSE organizing and crossing items off my Ta-Da list! I admit that I'm not one of those people who can lie on a beach for a week and not doing anything beyond turn the pages of a book or turn over each hour to get the best sun coverage.  I last about an hour and then I want to run to the next adventure! This was even in Honolulu - three times!

I have this incredible desire (perhaps coffee-fueled??) to get stuff done.  That's just me.  I like looking back at my journal and seeing all the projects and tasks that I've checked off. Plus completing many of the tasks tends to free up my time and energy to tackle bigger things.

I've read that people tend to accomplish MORE in the day leading up to their holidays than they do in a week. Your focus is clear and direct and the reward is quite sweet!

Imagine if we had that kind of energy every day? The possibilities would be endless!

When you write up your list of projects, it can either inspire you or overwhelm you.  Many live somewhere between the two!

This year I've spaced out my vacation time over two months rather than all at once.  Gives me a chance to check out more art exhibits, gallery shows, concerts, and hang out with pals.

I had so much fun at the art salon on Saturday that I now want to have a solo exhibit somewhere.  Will keep you posted!

Still working on my book about Kitten Jack. Also one on Edie though she has only been part of my family for 4 months - not nearly as many photos as Jack (1000's to review - truly!)  Looking to self-publish in June! More details soon.

Until Wednesday, keep smiling!

Linda
