Ready, Set, GO - HELLO MONDAY!

Hiya Gentle Reader,

Great weekend? Hope so!!  Wha??? You missed me? Aww....go on...  Really, go on, I'm all ears!

Sunny days for Toronto this week.  YES!!!!!!!

Well I had a blast at the art salon on Saturday night. FUN!!!! Of course I was nervous (a wee bit) but was ok when it was time for me to speak.  Go figure!  Was surrounded by people whom I cherish and adore so that was lovely.  Artists are a close-knit bunch.  *grins*  If you are a FB pal then the photos will be up soon!

Was so inspired by the event that I created two paintings on Sunday.  More tonight!  Time for another trip to the art store to load up on supplies! Who's in?

Vacation time is almost here - about 2 1/2 weeks - MUCH needed down time (which means UP for me!) Reconnecting with pals (my non-9-to-5'ers) and doing some photography trips too.  The kitties will get a break from Mom and her flashing machine!  Getting out to galleries more often now and clubs to support friends in art, comedy, and music.  Can't believe how much you can miss when you're sleeping! (figuratively AND literally!)

No more Gentle Reader, no more. (now you know why Coffee is Thy Middle Name)

Starting to plan the NYC trip too (this Fall), and more art shows this summer.

Of course I am organizing my stuff as always.  That sneaksy paper is back again and I want to make more room for other artsy things.  I won't buy another filing cabinet SO time to tackle those drawers.  Funny how that was my usual answer for too much stuff. Buy another storage unit!!! Eventually you'll realize that it is better (AND less expensive) to use what you own now and not crowd your space.  Repeat after me, SPACE IS GOOD, SPACE IS GOOD.... (Hellen B - I'm listening AND learning!)

It's wonderful to use what you have and enjoy it.  Storing items forever and not having them see the light of day isn't fun.  We all love to see what makes us smile.  If your items no longer bring you joy then it is time to recycle or let them brighten someone else's world.

Have a fabulous Monday and we'll get together again tomorrow.

Linda

Well my dream would be in the summer but most likely in late November/early December.  Staying in Manhattan for about 5 days/4 nights (not far from Times Square). One of my longtime pals is in Astoria so will be visiting her and another buddy in Brooklyn.

TW, we will definitely get together!!

Linda, I'm so glad all went well for you Saturday night! Any special photography in mind for vacation? Mike gave me a macro lens for my birthday last AUGUST, and I am just now feeling well enough to get it out of the box and start playing with it. I'm anxious to get started.

I'm organizing vintage tablecloths this week. There are way too many living at this house. I am going to gift some of them, I do believe.

    Have a great one!

      Thank you! You're sweet!

I want to get back to photographing my city (ie. graffiti, urban gardens, and bicycles!)

A macro lens...oooooh lovely! I got a telephoto for my birthday last August! Great minds!!  I am glad that you are feel well enough to start with macro photos.  They're fun - florals are wonderful!!

Will you post some photos of the vintage tableclothes? One idea I like to do is photograph things that make me smile but that I really don't use anymore.  I keep the photo and someone else enjoys the actual item.  A framed print of the tableclothes (maybe as a collage) would look amazing in your kitchen!

      See you on FB!
