I Wanna Hold Your Hand

Hey there Gentle Reader,

Sunny in your part of the world? Hope so.  ALWAYS sunny here in the kitchen of Chartreuse Monkey!  I am keen, huh?  I heart coffee. Yesterday I eloped with Coffee as my FB status.  Yeah, I'm odd like that!

Here we are just 3 sleeps to the art salon.  Mercy!!! (and by Mercy, I mean HEY to my long-time pal in California AND also WHOA, art salon!)  I am somewhat Tigger-like on most days (bouncy-bouncy) but this is going to be like Christmas, Disneyland, and the midnight buffet on a cruise ALL IN ONE!!

We've chatted before about how we're all connected on this big wacky planet.  Technology has played the biggest part with YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook being the most up-to-date forms of news broadcasting.  When a minor earthquake hit California a couple of months ago, I knew instantly by the status updates from pals out west.  At least 30 minutes before CNN made a reference.  Amazing!!!

Facebook is becoming quite the major community too.  Ask Betty White! After 500,000+ BW fans started up a "Betty White to Host SNL, Please?" site, it happened! Now our second group is "Carol Burnett to Host SNL, Please?" and I am sure Carol will be appearing during the new season.  Carol's show was my absolute favourite when growing up.  The chemistry between Carol, Harvey, Vicky, Tim, and Lyle was fabulous!

Yes, once again I digress, but not really! Still connections....

This is all a perfect example of synergy where the sum is greater than the parts.  Facebook currently has 400 MILLION active accounts.  That's some kind of house party!

So it doesn't matter if you see someone every day in person or only share conversations online.  You can still feel a wonderful sense of connecting to someone, even if you've never met face to face! That's just paperwork!  The bond is the real part. As I've said before, I don't need to know ya, to know ya!

I have some vacation time next month and plan to get together with as many pals as possible (long-time and new ones!)  Connection-city!

Linda
