Hey there GOALFriend!
Hi there,
Well the skies are grey and the rain is taking the shuttle bus to the city. Spring showers and all that jazz. Happy flowers!
Been working on some bigger goals lately. The art salon is this Saturday so the paintings have been delivered, business/art cards are done, and I am working on what I'll talk about. Have to decide on what to wear too! Oh the decisions you need to make when you jump in feet first. Lovely!! You know me, I always say LEAP BEFORE YOU LOOK!
My vacation starts in a few weeks and boy, do I have some big goals planned there! Visits with friends out of town, LOTS of art work (paintings and photography), meeting up with artsy pals here in the city, and touristy things - I don't appreciate my city enough with all the amazing galleries, clubs, etc. out there. Time to get reacquainted with my birthplace!
I want to take my leather jacket in for tailoring - can't find a new jacket that I like as much as this one so am getting it altered. Same with a grey suit I purchased last summer. No complaints though as the extra weight is off and I feel fabulous. Always great to invest in yourself! Plus I have never had to get clothes taken in before. I am going to savour this experience!!
TIme to take that inventory of your projects too - you know, when you walk around your home (or office) and make note of all the areas that you would like to tackle. I call them the 4R's of organizing - repair, replace, refresh, and recycle! Don't fret though Gentle Reader because this isn't something that you need to do all at once. Some projects will be a one-time thing - like painting the table on the balcony (I would suggest sunflower yellow!). Others will be ongoing maintenance - getting your bike out of storage and getting the brakes checked out before that road trip in June.
Oh and do pick up a copy of Hellen Buttigieg's fabulous book on organizing - http://www.amazon.com/Organizing-Outside-Box-Conquer-Learning/dp/192664509X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273620535&sr=1-1 - believe me, this book will answer ALL your organizing questions EXCEPT what to do with that dolphin lamp from your great Aunt Bertha (that, my friend, is up to you!)
Catch ya on Wednesday.
Linda
