Now for Something Completely Different....
Hey there Gentle Reader,
SUNNY Tuesday and Spring has returned - oh joy!! Of course so has the humidity and my hair is having a field day. Truly. Looks like a wild wavy field! Let's just say that THIS monkey is not investing in a web-cam any day soon! No need to frighten children and small animals.
Oh, I have decided NOT to get a cell/Blackberry for awhile. I am going to use the money towards my art. Plus I am getting back my ability to focus on the tasks at hand (why yes, a photography pun!! ). I have been finishing up on some projects around the home (stranger things have happened!) Hellen Buttigieg would be pleased. She has taught me well!
Most of my goals lately have been maintenance, Spring cleaning (yay!), and completing those tasks that have been hovering on my "Ta-Da!" list for awhile.
Now time to add NEW and big exciting goals to the list. Projects that are ongoing or have many parts to complete. Gonna be a busy year no doubt!
I have added some other smaller projects to my list as well - such as creating a new painting once a week and also selling two paintings a month. The funds go towards restocking my studio (painting and photography).
Sometimes we get caught up the day to day routine of maintenance and can't even imagine beginning anything new. Who has the time and energy? However, I'm here to say that you need both to balance out your life. The thought of starting a new project can inspire and motive you to complete the regular tasks. The whole reward idea again only THIS time, the treat IS the new project!! Yes, I am Keener, Watch Me Bounce.
Maybe your routine item is organizing your vacation photos from Italy and your REWARD is having 40 of them made into a photo book www.blurb.com - you'll love this company. Plus travel books make for lovely gifts too and are very cost effective. No point in carting your camera on a trip only to keep all the photos hidden away on your computer hard drive. Enjoy your memories! Fun for kids to make for the grandparents too. Or add to a digital frame for your office. Makes the work day that much sweeter when you see family, friends, and pets nearby.
Tomorrow we'll discuss how to decide on what those new projects could be. All about a satisfying life for YOU!
