What a Difference a Day (or Two) Makes!
Hiya Gentle Reader,
I'm back! CM in da House! How was your weekend? Productive AND fun I hope! Mine included meeting a bunch of amazing artsy folk but I needed to wear a blindfold to get there (and I did!) However, you don't need to know those details right? What happens in Secret Salon, stays in Secret Salon.....shhhh *looks over shoulder and smiles*
I decided that I need a bit of r&r time myself as I prepare for a couple of coming art events in May and June. So the new schedule of this blog will be Monday to Friday with the weekends free for you and I to get out there and enjoy life! We can always get caught up after, ok?
This weekend had me working on IT things (installs, fixes, and housekeeping), my budget (ongoing), some art work, attending the Salon (magical), reading/library, brunch (always in there!), and relaxing too with the kid-tens. I don't get as much time with them during the week so always appreciate my extra in-your-face hours on Saturday and Sunday. Nose to snout so to speak! Cat-naps too of course.
As you know, we have been doing Spring cleaning for a LONG time now BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel. The big tasks are getting smaller and some of the one-time entries have been crossed off the list!!! *high fives all around*.
I'm back on the WW bandwagon after a couple weeks of baking like crazy. I know?! WHA???? Started out with two work functions and then drifted to personal (ie. WEEKEND SNACKING!). However, new week, old rules, all good.
Sometimes we get very VERY comfortable with our life and routines and don't always review or question if things are still working out well for us. While I love writing the blog (and getting to see YOU of course), I was finding that 7 days a week was getting to be too much. Started all of this in September 2009 and haven't missed a day yet BUT after Saturday rolled around, I realized that writing every day wasn't working for me any more and I need a regular break.
Today I'd like you to look over a couple of areas of your life that are currently causing you some conflict. Maybe this topic is on your mind a lot, or even affecting your sleep. Sleep is lovely when you can get it!
On a piece of paper (nooooo to computers for this exercise), write down the area of concern, listing all the reasons why it still works well and compare to your thoughts on why it isn't working as well. Then write a short paragraph (can even be in point form) of how you would ideally like things to work out. How do you feel after reviewing the list and paragraph?
That should give you a new direction as to where you need to take this idea further. We'll discuss more later this week!
Until Tuesday!
Linda
