Time Travel
Hey there,
Welcome to the kitchen of Chartreuse Monkey. Very diner-style no? I do run a very busy VIRTUAL diner mind you but this one is just as cozy. Thank you for the visit!
I'll get the beverages. Lemon cranberry scone? Oh yes, me too.
I love this time of year ESPECIALLY after what seemed like an endless winter. For the record, I could copy and paste this line into my April 22, 2011 blog because I will feel EXACTLY the same. That's Canada-speak for "Spring! What took you so long?!"
Oh sure we had the Olympics this year...BAZINGA...bonus points for mentioning the Olympics again! That was a wonderful time and gave us Canucks a big goofy grin for weeks. CROSBY..HE SCORES!!! See? Still smiling.
I love seeing the flowers starting to bloom - tulips especially - and the bikes lining the roadways. Especially retro bikes because there are so many days that I wish I still had my navy mustang with the blue sparkly banana seat and white fringes hanging from the handle bars! Oh 1971, I miss you so! Hmmm...note to self, check to see if you can still get said bicycle from Craigslist....
I'm very lucky that I don't suffer from seasonal allergies so the scent of freshly mowed grass is heaven!!!
It's great when everyone starts wearing bright colours, patterns, and anything that isn't downfilled. While I miss the monkey hats, I am looking for some spring hats instead!
What spring-time sights make you smile?
Linda
