Sunny Goals

Hiya,

Another sunny day in the big city.  FAB!! When you have hair challenges (and most of us do!), you're always watching the weather channel in the hopes that the sun will be shining and the humidity/rain/mist etc. will be far far away.... This week it seems to be working mighty fine. Thank you Universe.

Ok, here we go....

Sometimes I love to plan for goals that are seasonal.  Like having all my sweaters dry cleaned and stored for the spring (add a scented dryer sheet in there too so your sweaters will smell springlike when they reappear in late September).  Some of our goals/tasks are day to day (see yesterday's blog "Maintain the Status Quo") or seasonal (refinish the deck before Canada Day).  I ADORE seasonal goals!  The little optimist that I am enjoys looking forward to having goals to accomplish all year long. Yeah I'm odd that like that and don't think you're the first to say it either!  That's how this monkey rolls.

Weight goals seem to work very well for the warmer months.  We're reaching that time of year in Canada, when the layers of clothing come off.  I'm toning up myself now too.    First summer in many years that I may (said MAY) wear shorts.  Stay tuned!

We can also enjoy the many steps of a HUGE BEAUTIFUL goal or a one-time but fun-time goal.  A tattoo perhaps (yes, that one is my list too).

Always feels great when I look in my journal and see COMPLETION or the Road to Completion (no, this isn't a novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery but it is just as lovely).

We can get busy with life and when you feel like you're in a rut, you can look at your list of past accomplishments and know that YOU can do it again!  I realize that things can be challenging and the last thing you have energy for is an additional goal but maybe it can be to get enough sleep each day or take 15 minutes of each day to just relax and have YOU time. You can build these goals into your regular routine.   Taking care of yourself is a grand goal to have any time of the year!

Hope to see you on Tuesday!

Linda
