Open doors, open hearts...
Hey there Gentle Reader,
You're quiet today. Get yer wee self in here and relax. I'll get the beverages... Snuggie? Just kidding. *sigh*
Just the other day, I was telling you that I decided to walk away from a couple of friends because the emotional connection wasn't making me happy. Very difficult decision because I love my pals dearly and want them to all live happily in my world. Friendships can change in time (we all do - that's just life!) and sometimes not for the better. That's always sad.
However, here is the thing about hanging onto people or items in your life that don't bring you joy. They become energy drains on those folks and things that DO make you grin big goofy grins. If you're lucky, you will find that most of your life will run smoothly but those other few people or areas will take up more of your mindspace. Not good GR, not good. These are the areas where you have to do your emotional housekeeping.
One of the many amazing parts of the universe is the one in, one out theory. All about balance. You already know that I encourage this when it comes to organizing your life and your stuff. Well, guess what?! The universe does it naturally!!
So in the time that I've quietly said goodbye to those friends, three more walked into my life! I don't believing in closing doors completely - even on those who left. Heck, for me, the doors are right off the hinges! Keeps the Feng Shui all groovy. I dig groovy!
What I'm suggesting is this - to remove those people and things from your life that cause more stress than smiles. You will be amazed at the incredible positive energy that will come into your life when the obstacles are removed. Trust me!
Until Thursday.
Linda
