It's the Little Things....

Hey there,

STILL sunny (yippy) and heading towards the weekend (skippy!).   Just add coffee and we're good to go!

Do you ever find that it is just one little thing in life that makes or breaks your day?  Think papercut!  Oh, those can bring down the strongest of the strong - whimpering no less!  I'm talking about a more positive spin here...naturally.  Those little occurrences that can put a smile on your face for days.

Like when the NEW flavoured coffee of the day is your to-die-for-flav (yes, we ALL have one!).  Or that shirt you wanted to buy is now on sale (remember I saw the Blondie sneakers last week but didn't get them.  When I went back 2 days later - they were on sale! SWEET!).  I want to focus only one those fab smiley-face moments.   Your apartment building decides to plant mauve tulips this year and it is your favourite colour and flower.   Plus you can see them outside your bedroom window.  Niiiice.

We've chatted before about being mindful of the ordinary and appreciating those moments.  Here I'm asking that we are not only grateful for them BUT remind ourselves throughout the day of what happened.  The mind is fabulous magnet and like does attract like.  So if you're grooving over all the wonderful things that have happened to you one week, your brain will start searching for more of those gems.

You see Gentle Reader, your mind likes to feel happy!  Mmmm happy!

Sometimes when life gets a bit grey and cloudy, those good experiences can get lost in the fog.   We don't want that to happen.   Think of them as little candles flickering non-stop (SEE? I didn't make ANY reference whatsoever to a torch or the Olympics! Oh yeah. Never mind.)  If you round up those little happy moments, the light becomes brighter and chases away a lot of the shadows.  You'll find that positive thinking people will start appearing more and more in your world - that's no coincidence either! Light attracts light (why yes, I meant to say LIGHT).  Your positive thinking acts like a beacon to tell the universe that you're open to more good stuff  and great people arriving at any time.

Makes me smile already!

Until Friday!

Linda
