And the Oscar goes to....

Hey Gentle Reader,

Oscar Sunday is here.  Have you filled out your ballot yet? Not the easiest task huh? Ok, first of all, DO NOT feel badly that you didn't see ALL 10 Best Picture nominations, or all the foreign language films, or the animated features. That's a lot of coinage there! I hope that the movies you did see made you smile....or think...or both!

My predictions?

Best Picture: The Hurt Locker
Leading Actress: Sandra Bullock
Leading Actor: George Clooney
Supporting Actress: Mo'Nique
Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz (charming and scary!)
Animated Feature: Up (went through a lot of kleenex with this one!)
Directing: Up in the Air (Jason Reitman) - though I am torn here - want Kathryn Bigelow to win too

This year I saw most of the movies but still not all.  Kind of like climbing Mt. Everest for movie-goers - one day Gentle Reader, one day!

I love watching the show - the ENTIRE show - so may be a bit sleepy tomorrow BUT I did take a nap (sometimes age does make me wiser - sometimes)

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are a fun duo to host tonight's events - both are equally brilliant at comedy!  Plus they look good in a tux.

Always look forward to seeing my favourite actress Anjelica Huston present one of the awards - Hollywood royalty!

No Oscar party this year - kind of a quiet weekend which is good.  Much needed.

So the red carpet is starting so you should go!

Until tomorrow!

Linda
