Light at the End of the (Snow) Tunnel
Hey there,
Wednesday here and the snow is on its way AGAIN. Heading our way tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday. 5cm per day. Sigh.
This winter has been especially rough all over North America. More so for our US cousins than for us here in Toronto. The temperatures have been extra chilly but snow in general has been rather scarce. Of course this is February AND we're in Canada AND we're known for our snow...
So I'm thinking that we need to continue to do things that lift our spirits and keep us heading towards the sunshine and flowers-that-will-bloom-again-in-spring!!! Have faith! Spring will arrive on Saturday March 20! Less than one month away. WE CAN DO THIS GENTLE READER!!!!!
Sure the Olympics have been a great distraction BUT let's face it, they are the WINTER Olympics! Celebrating sports on ICE and SNOW. I rest my case Mr. Mason. (psst GO TEAM CANADA!!!)
A new bright yellow coffee mug with tulips on it or a cheery orange frame from the dollar store that shows off your favourite photo of your pals from last summer. Maybe a few sunny highlights in your hair, a pair of mauve socks, or listening to some Beach Boys on your iPod. All good Gentle Reader, all good.
I totally understand how you would rather take a package of Pillsbury cookie dough and hide under your covers and happily munch away. Yeah this week, me too! (shhh if the WW people show up, please tell them I'm out buying vegetables....)
