Less than Perfect

Hiya,

Sunday evening and life is pretty darn good.  Ok, I just had a chocolate brownie so maybe THAT had something to do with it.  Yum. Sugar is fine.

You know that I have been with Weight Watchers since April 2009 AND have been very successful with this amazing organization.  That means that the MOST important thing is to work real life into weight loss plans.  Otherwise your weight loss will be quick but short-lived.  Been there, done that - twice.  You can't be so strict with your goals that there is no room for error or flexibility.  We're all human and have beautiful flaws.  Life can surprise us with some pretty out-there things and our strength lies in how we respond to them.

Sometimes that means that you take a wee detour from your original plan or change up your route.  You will still reach your final destination but just in a different way.

I have always had a love-hate-love thang with sugar.  Started baking when I was a kid (my Grandmother was a phenominal baker),  and never looked bake...er back.  Ahem.   In the last year I have limited my time in the kitchen but will still venture in there now and then.  That is the only way to really embrace a new change in your life.  Not all or nothing but all, some of the time.  I am very happy being healthy but also enjoy sugar treats now and then.

Admitting that you are going to make mistakes allows you to reach your goals in a more realistic way.   When you know that you have given yourself permission to stumble, that helps a lot.  You also know that you will get up again and move forward.  It is all part of the process.

Seriously, the journey is truly the BEST part and no road is without rocks and curves along the way.

Linda
