Low Maintenance
Hi there,
Wednesday February 17 and Canada is having lots of fun at the Olympics. VERY exciting since this is the first time we've ever won gold medals in our own country. Everyone is smiling a bit brighter even if the snow keeps falling!
Well you're thinking, Linda, um...YOU are a Leo and today's topic is LOW Maintenance and since you share a birthday with Madonna....
*crickets*
Gentle Reader, fret not. I'm talking about maintaining all those little projects on your list that take up a A LOT of mental space. That sweater that needs mending, the suit jacket that has to be taken in, shoes to be re-heeled, watch battery to be replaced, etc. You get the idea.
I like taking a walk around my home and writing down these projects onto my list. Surprising how they can really add up AND be very draining when they are not completed. Every time you go to wear the jacket or use the watch, you are reminded that they are not available despite taking up physical space. Plus this frees up your thoughts to dream more creative ideas!
This is an especially good time to start taking inventory before Spring arrives. By having these items mended, repaired, replaced, etc. you are actually getting workable items in return. If you realize that the money or time required to fix it isn't worth it, then you can recycle, recycle, recycle! You'd be surprised that having actual space on shelves and in drawers can make you feel calmer. Just because we have the room, we don't need to fill it up immediately. Try it, you'll see! Instant breathing space.
Tonight I'd like you to take a stroll around your own home (or virtual tour from the couch), and write down 10 projects that are crying out for attention. Doesn't matter the size of the task, please write it down. Now, imagine how you would feel if all 10 were checked off your list?
That's the goal! Now, let's take that first step in making it a reality!
Until tomorrow.....
Linda
