Going for Gold!
Hiya,
Sunday and HAPPY HEART DAY to you!! I didn't forget it was Valentine's Day. I just like celebrating love 365 days of the year (sorry Hallmark!)
You know, just because we're not all competing in the Olympics, doesn't mean we can't aim for the gold every single day. While this doesn't mean that every day of the week has to be perfect BUT it does mean that you have to give it your all in everything you do. Really pushing past the easy-peasy level is what counts. Does a world of good for your soul.
Wouldn't it be exciting if we went after every goal with the same determination of a top athlete? That we exercised each day - both our bodies and our minds - with that intense fire inside? Makes you hear the theme from Rocky now doesn't it?
My two biggest goals this year are maintaining my healthy weight and getting my art out into the universe. I want to have my own exhibit and continue to hang out with other artists. Being healthier gives me more energy to paint more often. All good!
The next steps for me are adding weights to my regular exercise routine and painting at least 3 x a week. Yes, that's over 150 paintings a year! Keeps my art in shape too! Plus painting is a very physical activity so that helps my other goal! You'll often find that your goals will overlap and the benefits from one will assist the others. Fabulous synergy!
Today I would like you to write down two goals that you would like to accomplish before May 14, 2010. Why that date? Well by then the snow will have melted (if it snows in your part of the planet) and it gives you 3 months to complete your game plan. Plus you KNOW I'm going to want to hear about it! You just have to write down the goals in your journal and we'll discuss the next part on another day, okay?
Hot chocolate with heart-shaped marshmallows? You know you wanna!
