Kickstart!

Hiya Gentle Reader,

Cold but sunny today in the city.  My kind of wintry day.  TONIGHT the Olympic ceremonies begin in Vancouver.  Very proud moment for all Canadians!  You know I'll be watching!

Been enjoying my week off but have noticed something that still needs to be done.  My usual routine of biking/exercising and making healthy food choices has been sidelined a bit by having all this free time.  I admit that I am creature of habit and once in the groove, I stay there. However...once I start visiting a pub here or there or indulge in sugary treats, well, let's just say that old Linda visited the last few days.  She's out of here NOW!

Have decided to lose a few more lbs than my original target.  I need to have that "holiday cushion" for those meals or traditions that have a tendency to bring lots of amazing food with them!  They are always SO generous too!

Watched The Secret again this week - really helps me focus on my goals and dreams.  Plus writing in that journal is always wonderful!  Am starting to eye a new ACME STUDIO pen as well....either Frank Lloyd Wright or Karim Rashid....

So my wish list has grown this week in all areas - really a project or goal inventory of sorts.   Wishes are lovely but if you don't mix them with action then they do fade away.   You'll convince yourself that you really didn't want to take that photography course as you let the registration date slip by.  Maybe you tell yourself that you are going to embrace your weight as it is despite your not feeling well and your doctor telling you that your health is at risk.

Time to look at that list, select two or three items on your list and KICKSTART them as of NOW!  Not to wait for Monday or tomorrow or when you have some savings or have finished your taxes (unless that of course IS one of the goals!) N O W.  Truly.  Waiting until the right time is ALWAYS the wrong time.

What are you going to focus on now?  I want to know!

Linda
