Happy Face
Hey there,
WELL HELLO FRIDAY!!!! Don't know about you Gentle Reader, but it was a long week for me. Productive and all that but I think I'm down a few hours of sleep...per day. Yesterday I was doing all sorts of bizarre things - yes me, the odd one - taking it up a notch in strangeville. Luckily today was much better and we are in the weekend *hugs Friday*.
Lately I've been smiling A LOT. At the sun (maybe it will come closer to Toronto and actually WARM US UP), at dogs (I love smiling at dogs - makes the owners' do a double-take), and strangers. Very rare that you smile at someone and they don't smile back. If they don't though, that's fine. We're all in our own little space in this world and not everyone has the energy to be happy right now. On those days (and believe me, I have THOSE days too), I just smile for the heck of it.
I am convinced that my two kitties Jack (Sir Jack) and Edie smile all the time. Seems that way at 5:30am when I get up. They just want to play, play, PLAY! I should add that this is 5:30am EVERY day including weekends. They like their routines!
I mean even email had to invent a way to show emotion and happiness in notes so they gave us the smiley face
called an emoticon. We can even smile in letters! How great is that?!
Even the movie Elf celebrates smiling as Buddy exclaims "I just like to smile. Smiling is my favourite!" Yes Buddy, so do I!
Tomorrow I'd like you to try something Gentle Reader. How about smiling at the next 5 people you see - in cars, on the street, in a store window. Just smile like you know them!
I bet you'll make their day AND your own.
Linda
