What Time is It?

Hey there,

How's your week so far? Having a fabulous Tuesday? Hope so because that's the ONLY kind to have!

Back in November, we chatted about time and how this is YOUR moment to start doing the things that you have dreamed about for years.  However, this includes how you spend your spare time too.

Now I LOVE television and admit that I probably watch more than the average monkey.  However, I have limited myself with the news (used to be a CNN fanatic - now I get my news from CP24) and reruns after work.   You know that you watch too much tv when you can recite FULL episodes of Friends with ALL 6 characters.  Probably a talent for some game show somewhere but nothing that will pay off any time soon!

I'm not perfect (FAR from it!!) but I do like to work on improving the quality of my life.  I spent many years just waiting around for things to happen when I could have participated.  No regrets though.  I wasn't ready back then to embrace all that the world offers everyone.  Didn't feel I deserved it and quite frankly, felt that if you were born into a certain environment, you would stay there forever.  I know that isn't true.  You can go ANYWHERE from where you are now. ANYWHERE.

We all get 24 hours in one day and the key is to know how to work with that time.  Some days are easier than others when it comes to managing the minutes.  It is so easy and comfortable to get into a rut where you come home, grab a bag of chips (well they WERE open), and flop in front of the tv for 3 hours.  Soooo easy.  Throw some flannels on and you're talking about my past!

Even if starting today, you take one hour that you would normally use to watch a sitcom that you've already seen and use it to read a few chapters in that book you got from the library, or write a letter to your Aunt in England (who doesn't have a computer), or bake some cookies for that charity event at work - well think of how good you would feel after wards.  Imagine that done over a few days a week for 52 weeks.  That's a lot of living to do!!

Let Ross and Rachel figure out their own lives.

Until tomorrow....

Linda
