What A Different a Day Makes

Hi there,

Happy Wednesday to y'all!  Been watching Paula Deen lately.  That food channel is addictive!  Great seeing you! Ok, coffee first (or tea) and time for our chat.

Now you know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE to write down dreams and ideas and goals in my journal. Heart it.  So it is no surprise then that I love taking that idea one step further.  Just like the Vision Board but in words.  Some people enjoy reading the words and some are more visual and enjoy pictures.  Me? Both. I like it all!

I want to know what would be your PERFECT DAY?  Does it start the day AFTER you visit the lottery office to pick up the big cheque? Of  course it's always an actual BIG cheque (makes me laugh that somehow having a huge cardboard cheque makes it more real - maybe if you're giant! I just like the BIG dollar amount!)

My day would have me getting up very early with a mug of coffee and my two Siamese kitties Jack and Edie.  So far, I do this every day! Not bad.  I would look at my emails and Facebook account (yup, on the list) so that doesn't change.  Then I would get dressed and head out to my artsy studio on Queen Street West (ah the dream part!).  Would rent a small 1-bedroom apartment overlooking Queen Street West, that would have a kitchen area for easy clean-up and space to paint and take photos (pet portraits!).  The cats would travel with me and would have their favourite sunny window space to watch the people and traffic below. There would be a jumbo screen tv so I could watch my fave CP24 and also a sound system to enjoy music throughout the day (104.5 CHUM FM baybeh!) My place would actually be very close to both the CP24 studio AND CHUM station (my fave area of Queen W.)  During lunch I would meet up with other artist pals who have the same wacky hours.  I would paint or photograph all day long and then head back to my home with J and E by my side.  My artwork would be featured in various coffee houses in the city and two galleries in the area.    I would have a steady and very comfortable income so I could travel to NYC throughout the year to support other artist friends and visit my fave place -the Museum of Modern Art (Jackson Pollock, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Helen Frankenthaler!).

You can write as many details as you'd like for your perfect day.  The reason for this exercise is to see how close (or far) you are from your ideal life and then work on the steps to get there.   If the final version makes you smile then great.  If it makes you sad then perhaps tomorrow you can take one small step towards that life and that smile.

Until Thursday.....

Linda
