Top 20!
Hey there,
Wednesday and the day is going well. How about you? Hopefully great too! I'll get the coffee.
We've been chatting about stuff lately. Owning, organizing, storing, and loving STUFF. I was looking around my home and truly appreciating all that I have in my world. Got to thinking so you know this is going to be a wacky blog! If you're going to run away, NOW would be the time....
Not counting people or pets, what are the top 20 items in your life that bring you the most joy? Can be absolutely anything - clothing, art, photographs, dishes, hair care products, whatever!
Ok, I'll go first.....
1) My letters from Doris Day - all hand signed in red ink - 10+ years worth and I treasure them!
2) Chartreuse and blue paperweight by June Pham
3) Photos of family, friends, and pets in my photo album
4) iPod Classic and all the fabulous music (does that count as 2? Nope!)
5) My painting Blue Zen - emotional connection to that one - up in my office
6) Canon Xsi camera and lens
7) Snow Leopard sequin converse - I heart converse
8) My Helen Reddy photo album signed in 1977 when I was a kid - huge thrill!
9) Framed crow photo from Leslie - gorgeous!
10) Green leather journal and all the dreams in it!
11) Orange Karim Rashid ACMESTUDIO pen
12) My easel
13) Chartreuse Monkey coffee mug made by Franshine
14) Chartreuse scarf by LFM (Lunatic Fringe)
15) Photo of Helen Reddy and myself from 1997
16) My computer - old PC but I love it!
17) My paints and paint brushes
18) Abstract painting with fish by M
19) Recorded show of Animal House Calls when I called in about Kitten Jack last summer
20) Photo of my friend AR and I taken at Woofstock last June - yup Woofstock - for dogs!
Ok, I could go for another 20 BUT that's the rule. Now I am VERY curious about your list. Doesn't have to be in order so don't worry about that part.
Most of my list is artistic, musical, or written. Lots of chartreuse in there too and other bright colours.
I did have a good reason for making the list. Truly! It's important to really SEE what you have in your life and appreciate it. You might be more surprised about what didn't make the list than what did!
Ok, get writing Gentle Reader. I'll want to see your favourite top 20 items soon.
