The Day After The Day After...

Hey there,

Two days after Christmas *sniffle* and 5 days until the new decade.  w00t!

Well I can't believe the holiday is already over. Truly! Wasn't I enjoying a Peppermint Mocha just yesterday? Oh yes, I was. Hmmm. Well Gentle Reader I am back on the wagon with my WW Peeps so all is good there.  Gained a few lbs over the holidays but will have that weight gone in a short time.

Have already put away some Christmas decorations.  Always seems a wee bit sad when the day has past and the items are still out.  For a second I think "Oh Santa will be here soon and....oh yeah. In 363 days that is. Dang"

Kitten Jack was helping by pulling down the garland by the windows - thoughtful boy - so I just finished up.  Christmas mugs are back in the cupboard and Christmas pjs are in the dryer.  Sigh.

Already have the wall calendar ready for 2010 too - cute Japanese animation this year - colourful and cheery!  A kitten Jack one is in the works too for the office!  Plus a kitten Jack book this year - more on that later.... You already know I am one of THOSE cat people...

This is the time of year that I love planning for new adventures in the coming year, writing dreams and goals in my journal, and organizing, organizing, and well, organizing!!   Definitely more artwork starting today - a painter paints. Plain and simple.   However, for those days when I need a bit more inspiration, I love watching my Dale Chihuly dvds, looking at paintings by Helen Frankenthaler or wearing my LOU REED t-shirt by the fab artist Joey DAMMIT!  Also reading any books by Julia Cameron (The Artist's Way, Sound of Paper, etc.)  She just makes you want to create art even before you've finished the first few chapters! Beautiful writer.

So today and tomorrow will be spent doing laundry, organizing, and painting.  Re-read Sandra Shamas' book "Wit's End" - made my heart smile!

Enjoy your Sunday and here's to more fun tomorrow!!

Linda
