Paper Trails...

Hey there,

Happy Sunday to you! Where did this week go?  Don't look now but I can see Monday just around the corner. Lay low and look busy!

With the change of the seasons and I mean Fall heading into Winter (ok, in a month!), I'm starting my nesting phase.  Where I prepare for the colder months - which is really December to March! Oh Canada, We Wear Flannel Just for Thee....

Recently, I read a fantastic book on organizing and the various learning styles by professional organizer Hellen Buttigieg.  NEAT fans will recognize her name so you know she walks the talk! LOVE the book - you can purchase it here http://www.amazon.ca/Organizing-Outside-Box-Conquer-Learning/dp/192664509X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258920076&sr=8-1  or here http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/Organizing-Outside-Box-Conquer-Clutter-Hellen-Buttigieg-Sari-Brandes/9781926645094-item.html?ref=Search+Books%3a+%2527Hellen+Buttigieg%2527  - perfect size as a stocking stuffer (yes, Christmas is always on my mind!)  The book is informative with practical tips and is a wonderful way to get yourself in the mood for organizing for the holiday season (Why yes, I CAN tie Christmas in with everything!)

This year is a bit difference though - with the weight loss, getting new clothes, recycling old clothes, and now going through my paperwork.  Seriously, I don't know why I save the amount of stuff that I do!  My one weakness still tends to be magazines, books, papers (ie. articles, ticket receipts, etc.) and notebooks. Adore notebooks of all sizes and colours and always have at least one in my purse.   When the Kindle recently came out (electronic gadget that can hold over 1500 books, magazines, and papers), you would think I would jump at the chance of owning one (Dear Santa....).  However, I love the feel of real paper and know this item, while VERY practical, just wouldn't be for me.

So this sunny Sunday afternoon in Toronto, I am going through my filing cabinet and shredding all outdated or no longer needed paperwork.  I am deleting old files on the computer, and moving photographs from the hard drive to the external hard drive.  Later I will work on a painting (my kind of Sunday).

Hope whatever you're doing today has you smiling and enjoying your Sunday.

Here's to Monday!

Linda
