Love me, love my shoes!
Hiya,
Hope you had a good November 11. I had the day off so was able to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony at Queen's Park. A very emotional and significant event - the veterans, soldiers, speakers, etc. I am very happy that I attended.
Was up 1lb at WW but not to fret gentle reader, next week will be better (and by "gentle reader" I am also including myself!)
If you know me, you know that I LIVE in converse, kicks, Chucks, sneakers. LOVE 'em. Winter is a bit challenging but I do try to wear them indoors instead.
Own 8 pairs - purple, green, orange, black, black leather, leopard fun fur, grey, and the latest - sequin snow leopard print!
I always loved them when I was a kid but sadly they were considered a "boy's" shoe (whatever the HECK that means). Now I have two stores in the neighbourhood that carry ALL the colours and styles and I get the Converse newsletter. Always good to study up on the coming season (they have different styles etc. about 3 or 4 times a year).
Why do I love them so much, you ask? Maybe I am reclaiming my childhood, maybe I just like the pretty colours - being an artist and all, or maybe because they are so dang comfortable! Probably a bit of all 3. For the record, my orthotics DO fit in them too - how's that for combining worlds?! Sure I'm getting older but I'm not taking it lightly!
I think we all have that one signature thing that makes us happy. For me, Converse shoes does it. I even wear them to work - when you are in IT, well you tend to use it when you can to your advantage! "Oh these sneakers? Well I am IN technology and that's how we roll...."
Look how close we are to the weekend. Soooooo close. Stand on your tippy-toes and you can see it! Here, let me give you a boost.
See you on Friday.
Linda

I love the look of converse...bought my first pair last month. Had to give them to Steph. Killed my feet.
