Show me the sequins!

Hiya!

Glad you could stop by on this Monday.   Great Sunday? Hope so!

Yesterday I ventured out into the stores for some of that much needed clothes shopping I have been chatting about for the past two weeks.    Banana Republic was first on the list so headed over to the Eaton Centre.  Amazing weather here in Toronto so the walk was fabulous.  Busy on Yonge Street which always makes me smile. Come on down Tourists!!!!!

Tried on some of the non-iron fitted shirts - gorgeous colours and material.  Didn't even bother me when the woman in the next change room told her friend "usually I get this in a size 0...." AND that I could actually fit into their clothes! Size 10 if you're asking!  Couldn't find the colours I wanted so the salesperson Lola checked the Bay-Bloor location - yup, my shirts were there!  I swear that BR only hires people with cool funky names!  So after a bit of window shopping through the Eaton Centre, I headed north to the second store.  Noticed that Anne Murray will be appearing at the Chapters store on Thursday to autograph her new autobiography.  Will definitely attend to take photos for friends who are huge fans.  Plus I am a fan too!

Bought two shirts at the second store - black and teal.  Didn't realize that the teal shirt was a slightly different style until I got home and then marched back to exchange for the next size.  There is form fitting and then there is "I hope I don't have to raise my arms today" snug!  You never know when you'll be in a crowd and someone will yell "Hey EVERYBODY, let's do a wave!!"  Wouldn't want to miss out!

Then on walk home, I went into my favourite store for converse shoes - The Shoe Market.   A few days earlier I received my Converse newsletters (yes, I am on their list!) and gasped at their new sequined animal print styles.  I am a huge fan of leopard/cheetah prints.  I was going to try on a pair of grey plaid ones (my Fall converse) until I saw THEM. The shoes that sparkled and shone.

I HAD TO HAVE THEM!!!

Now granted the price was about 50% higher than the plaid ones BUT they SPOKE to me.  You know you're in trouble when you are cradling a shoe while trying on another.   Couldn't put them down!  I am VERY touchy-feely so once those babies were in my arms, it was game over.

Then my favourite song came on the radio - "Halo" - so I took that as a sign and bought 'em.  Ok, truth be known, I didn't NEED a sign BUT it makes for a good story!!

So now I own the dazzling Chucks.  *swoons*

Hope your day sparkles and we get a chance to meet up again tomorrow!

Linda

PS. Yes, I really am this perky before coffee....
