Hey there,
Happy Thursday to you! Yes, the weekend is just 1 sleep away! Ok, back to Thursday...let's not rush through it!
Had an amazing Weight Watchers meeting - 3 lbs down for a total of just under 43 lbs! Now 7 lbs away from my goal. Oh boy!! *waves to her WW pals*
Very exciting and scary at the same time. Once I reach goal then you go on 6 weeks of maintenance and then become a life member!
Just in time for the holiday season - the BEST gift ever!!! For those who are wondering - yes, I will be baking this year but just not nibbling.
Funny thing is that I still don't see the weight loss the same way that friends and family do. Oh I catch glimpses now and then - in the reflection of a store window, in a photo, or when I am putting on my make-up in the morning (along with kitten Jack who is trying to munch on my make-up brushes). I had been overweight for quite some time (off and on for decades) that I am still getting used to having this healthier body. Others can usually tell when I have lost weight long before I can!
The most amazing part of this entire process hasn't been the change in my physical appearance as much as the way I think about my body and my health now. No longer is it a temporary mindset where I can't wait to go back to my old way of eating once I get to the target weight. This isn't a diet but an ongoing, lifestyle change. Do I miss the sugary treats - um YES, yes I do, BUT I don't miss the way I felt after indulging too much. The extra energy I have now is amazing! Sure, I am sleep-deprived from Sir Jack, my adorable and hyper Siamese kitten, BUT this is different. Before I felt tired even after 8 hours of sleep! Now, I get less sleep but have more energy.
Hope you have a terrific Thursday and enjoy every minute.
Here's to a fab day and we'll chat again tomorrow!

I'm proud of you! It is hard but so worth it! Today I am wearing a size 13/14 dress and I'm swimming in it- I love it! I need new clothes too!

That's fabulous Sylvie! I tried on my all-time favourite blouse today and it is too big as well. Who knew we'd have these kinds of problems?! I'm used to everything being too small!

Good luck with maintenance, Linda. That's the hardest part. No, not maintenance, after maintenance. I've done it and maintained for long periods of time. But time can be an enemy. The trick is to catch yourself if you start to stray too much. But I have a friend who has been a successful WW for several years. So,good luck. Your attitude is great and you look wonderful.

Thanks Teena! That's very sweet of you to say. I plan on staying with WW for life for their support and expertise! I am lucky to have a group of long-time "lifers" in my Wednesday night group that are inspiring!

We will maintain together! Like you I intend to make it a lifetime commitment. I will keep going to WW once a month forever.
