Creature of Habit

Hi there!

Glad to see you again! Coffee or tea? I have both (see Saturday's blog!) Ok, onto Sunday's thoughts....

Sunday is probably my favourite day of the week because of all the routine stuff I like to do on this day.  Laundry (but of course and if you're on Facebook, EVERYONE does laundry on Sunday. It's the law.), some painting, organizing, and running a few errands. ALWAYS a kitten photo shoot with my boy Jack and planning my work week.   Then lunch time....KIDDING!

I like habits and routines. They make me feel snug. Like my monkey hats. Yes, hatS. More on that once the snowflakes land...

I like to wear the same 2 pairs of converse sneakers from my collection of 8.   I listen to the same half dozen songs over and over again on the ipod.  I ONLY listen to CHUM FM during the work day (hey kitten momma!).  I love going to Culture's for lunch (usually salad or maybe soup).   I wear the same scent (CK One in case Santa is reading) and my silver hoop earrings are always with me.  And I like being here with you, every day.  Nothing wrong with that, right?  Even my Weight Watchers meetings have become a comfortable weekly gathering.

I wasn't always this way though. I used to crave variety - endless and often.  In everything.  I was so impulsive too. Maybe it is an age thing.  As I head towards 50 (ok 49 but I am REALLY looking forward to my 50's), I wonder why I want all things familiar in my life.  Maybe it is because I have moved 26 times since being on this planet.  I don't think Madonna has ever toured that much!  I watch a lot of news and that might have something to do with it too.  The world is ever changing and not always in the best direction.   Plus I have things in my life now that have recently changed and not all to my liking.  Still I keep on, keeping on!

So have an amazing Sunday and enjoy doing your favourite things plus a few new ones too!

See you on Monday!

Linda
