For the Love of Coffee!

Hey there,

Hope you didn't think I forgot about you. Nevah! Still getting over this cold and on daytime cold meds (mmmm cold meds) so not quite the
most awake monkey in the jungle!

Actually I have been laying low for the past week and living in my Nick and Nora's...until today. Until the UNTHINKABLE happened. The coffee maker just stopped!!

*gasp*

The horror, the horror.....

So this gal had to get on her "outside" clothes and head over to Canadian Tire to purchase another Addiction Machine.   After careful searching online, I found the one I wanted but forgot to check to see if it was actually IN the store (Dundas and Bay location).  Nope.  However, they had the SUPER version with a programmable timer.  Nope. I AM the programmable timer myself - you can set your watch by me and my love for all things coffee!

Another hurdle was just going outside.  Basically I am VERY shy so a few days not being around lots of people  takes some getting used to for me.   Being in Canadian Tire, at 5pm, ON A SATURDAY, was no picnic but the love of java gave me the courage to press on. That and the cold meds (oh yeah, I mentioned those already!)  They had one person working the cash (yes ONLY one) and the line-up took me 25 minutes to check out.  Oh sure, I could have used the "self-service" area but quite frankly that could have gone two ways 1) the coffee machine would have totalled $1000 from me punching in a bunch of extra zero's OR b) everyone behind me would have free items and their stuff would be on my VISA card.   Did I mention the cold meds? I did? Ok, back to the story....

In Ontario now, it costs 5 cents to purchase a plastic bag in a store.  Of course being a quick-thinking monkey, I brought along two bags. Unfortunately neither one fit the blasted box SO I ended up carrying it home.

I just made my first cup so life is wonderful again. In a perfect world, I would have a back-up coffee machine waiting in the wings.  However, I like to live on the edge.  That's how we roll in Linda's World.

I'll catch ya on Sunday.  Have a fabulous evening and do everything that makes you smile.  If you want coffee later, you know where to find me!

Linda
