Neverending cold
Hello there from Flannelworld (oooh can you imagine?!),
Day bijillion of the head cold which is relentless but HECK who's complaining? Meh. Each day a new symptom which is always fun. Like playing "What's My Line" or something. You never know who is going to show up. "Mystery guest, are you dry and hacking?" "Yes." "Um...are you a cough?" "Yes, I am!" *applause*
Kitten Jack has been his usual lovesponge. Constantly chatting with me, crawling on me when I'm napping or curling up on my head. He likes to flop down on my head when he wants to sleep. All 10 lbs of him. Purring nonstop mind you. A lovely way to drift off!
Was looking at my fave stationery online store CURRENT yesterday. Back in the day *rocks on porch* I used to go through a lot of notecards with all of my penpals (WAAAY before the world wide web). CURRENT had the cutest stationery and many of my US friends used them. The company is still around and STILL doesn't ship to Canada. Sheesh. Thankfully I have my pals south of the border who will ship to me if needed (waves to Becky and Grace). http://www.currentcatalog.com/
I think I have caught up on all the missing sleep since Jack arrived last February. I long to wear my OUTSIDE clothes and not just the pjs. Buckley's is helping but won't speed up the process. Read a few books, did some organizing, and didn't even attend WW on Wednesday (first time!). Napped between naps. I walk around with my box of kleenex like Linus with his blanket. Had some friends make me laugh (as always!) which helped a lot!
For the weekend, I expect more of the above. This cold really started a week ago so I am hoping it leaves by the end of Sunday (ok, TODAY would be nice but I'm thinking no).
