The Last 10 lbs...
Hey there, glad to see you again.
Ok, let's get into Wednesday. Can you believe we are in the middle of the week already? Crazy!
As you know, my Weight Watcher's weigh-in is tonight. Every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. I attend the weekly sessions at the Y on St. Charles. For me, WW works well because of the constant encouragement from the leader (hey Trish!) to the other members who are in the program. We are truly there to applaud each other's triumphs and act as support on those days when the scales don't give us the numbers we want.
I started this journey on April 15 at 206 lbs. I'm 5'8" which certainly isn't tall enough to carry this weight! Now I know you may be shocked that I mentioned my starting weight but for those who know me, I wasn't a small gal! Luckily I had my oversized winter sweaters and big puffy jacket to hide behind during January to March. However, once the warmer months appeared, well, game over! I was a size 16/18 and was getting tired of constantly having to replace my clothes every few months. Of course I would buy the SAME pants each month so it wasn't so noticeable (so I thought!). Actually my closet was beginning to look a bit like a store where there were various sizes of identical items. Not good!
I was also frustrated over getting up each day and staring in the mirror and being unhappy. I was 47 and knew that with natural aging and time, that my weight would continue to climb on its own, without any help from me whatsoever!
So here I am 6 months later to the week. 41 lbs lighter and down 4 to 5 sizes. Each step has been a challenge but does get easier with time. I am blessed to have so many amazing people in my life who have been incredibly kind and supportive. *MWAH* to you all!
Now I am down to the last 10 lbs. I have no idea how long this will take to reach my final goal. I do know that I will continue moving forward each day while reminding myself of all the steps I've taken to get here.
Thank you for being there too. xoxo
Have a great Wednesday. Here's to a fabulous day!
See you in the morning!
Linda
