The Cold and the COLD
Hello there!
Hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend and maybe STILL enjoying your weekend if you are Canadian like me or get Columbus Day off in the US. Stretchy pants rule!
Day 2 of the not-going-to-mention-it headcold so most of my weekend was spent under two duvet covers with a sleepy Siamese kitten and the occassional bowl of soup. Looks like a three-peat today! At least I am getting caught up on my reading (2 books yesterday) and I always love writing in my journal. Plus it has been a napfest and that's never a bad thing!
Still I am restless - having 3 days off is wonderful but having to stay indoors is not. Especially when you live in a dynamic city like Toronto. Always lots to see and do every day! Plus I only have a fraction of that much needed winter clothing. No sweaters yet and those snowflakes are a-coming! Maybe even tonight according to CP24's weather update.
Tried on a bunch of winter coats last week but nothing really jumped out as being the ONE! I'm really a practical gal so it is ALL about warmth for me. I walk everywhere, including to and from the office each day, so I love downfilled jackets. Especially with a hood so that's on my wishlist this year. My old downfilled jacket is about 12 years old now and 2 sizes too big now (no complaints!) so time to move on.
Of course when you buy a winter coat every decade or so, the prices always seem crazy when you HAVE to buy something. Like you've been Rip Vanwinkle, snoozed those 10 years, and suddenly the cost of everything is triple from what you paid.
Still I will continue my search and hope to find something soon. Canadian winters wait for no one!
Keep warm today (or cool if you like in a lovely warm place) and we'll see each other on Tuesday.
Now get out there and enjoy life! *sniffle*
Linda
