Music is my life
Hello again, hope you had a fabulous Thursday. The weekend is almost here!
My constant buddy these days (besides kitten Jack of course!) is my new ipod classic. Now I have a place to store all my fave tunes and the ability to listen to them during my travels. I walk to the office (6 blocks or 5 songs) and everywhere else. Ok, I should say that I can save all of MY fave tunes, your top 20 and just about everyone else's! A LOT of room in this ipod so no worries of not being able to include a book or two or a tv show (Torchwood is on there now - Jack was partially named after Captain Jack - the main character).
You already know that I only listen to CHUM FM in the office (Loyal Leo always) and many of my current songs tend to be from the CHUM FM charts. Then of course I have my 80's tunes (Blondie, Culture Club, and all those fun one-hit wonders!), AND the ENTIRE Helen Reddy catalogue - more on that in a future blog!
I also bike each morning for 30 minutes and need my music to keep the energy high - especially at 6:30am in the morning BEFORE coffee (Timmy's XL, double milk if you're asking!)
Music has always played a major role in my life. I was once a promotions manager for a Canadian independent record label and used to travel with their main singer to all the radio stations in southern Ontario for the interviews. FUN!
Then we have the Helen Reddy years starting in 1973. Probably the biggest impact on my life in so many ways.
So today, I want you to crank up the volume on that radio or stereo or MP3 player and dance like nobody is watching. If someone IS watching, well then dance with them! Life is too darn short not to enjoy it!
Have a fab day and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Linda
