Oh Canada!

Good morning you (or afternoon, depending where you call home on this beautiful planet)!
Yes, this is me WITHOUT coffee yet.  Can you imagine the other version?!!  You know you want to!

Yesterday in the news, it was announced that a British Columbia Cancer Agency decoded three billion letters in the DNA of a breast cancer tumour and found mutations that cause the disease to spread.

Today two of our beloved writers - Margaret Atwood (adore!) and Alice Munro were on the short-list to win the Nobel Prize in literature.

The winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver in 2010.

In a country where our musical talent is known by one name - Celine, Shania, and k.d. - to name a few, we are usually the quieter younger sibling to our American big brother.

How can I not love a country that celebrates donuts, hockey, bacon, and flannel!

I am so lucky to live in Ontario where health-care is provided to all, benefits are provided to all, marriage is available to ALL, and we embrace diversity on every level.  Sure, we have our problems too but quite frankly, we are blessed.

Busy day today - VACATION DAY!  Dr. appointment at 8:15am and then some shopping for Fall/Winter clothes and a library visit after wards.

And oh yes, how could I forget - I lost another 2 lbs last night so am 40 lbs lighter today!!!! *INSERT BIG GRIN HERE*

Make it a fabulous day and do all that makes you happy.

Until tomorrow!

Linda
