Forever Facebook
Hello Tuesday, hello you!
You know, if I'm not enjoying my time here with you then you can find me somewhere on Planet Facebook. My id is ChartreuseMonkey LindaB Iam and I have been part of the FB community for almost 1 year now. A fabulous way for me to stay connected to relatives, longtime pals, co-workers from previous jobs, WW folks, new friends, and my beloved artsy crew. Oh yes, and those who ADORE Kitten Jack - he has his own following too! Plus he stays in touch with his brother Eddie. Really - I couldn't make this stuff up!
Plus being on FB has allowed me to find a great support team for my weight loss journey. A number of my FB buddies are in the program too so we are able to encourage each other every step of the way. A challenging journey but we're doing it!
I can't imagine what it would have been like to have had Facebook back in the 70's when I had all those penpals. 40 at one time! I am still friends with 7 of them and almost all are on FB. Back then I spent all of my babysitting money on stationery and stamps. As a kid, I dreamt of owning my own Hallmark store (still do...OR a pet store!) I still love writing letters by hand on beautiful paper or finding the perfect notecard. While the speed of the internet can be great when you're looking for a new recipe or wanting to know where to find a particular book, NOTHING compares to writing a letter and sending it by mail.
Guess I'm just old school at heart.
Enjoy an amazing Tuesday and we'll see each other again tomorrow.
Keep smiling! Looks good on you!
Linda

I actually deleted my Facebook account last week. I just never really used it. I keep in touch with my sister Orlanda in Mali through MSN Messenger, same with my niece and nephews in France. Orlanda loved to write stories, make up characters with complicated lives. She stopped once she got married and had children -a bit sad.
